Why we fight
This is a film about the US lust for war, which was shown on BBC4 as part of the Storyville series. Very enlightening on how the American empire mentality has flourished under the neocons. We in the UK have moved to the preemptive model due to the special relationship; no longer do we wait for a threat, we decide who we want to take out, then fabricate the evidence, and use the media to hoodwink the public into calling for "something to be done". (Watch at 1:13:20 for a jaw dropping example of propaganda which surpasses anything Saddam could have dreamt up: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the United States Army Chorale")
What nobody wants to see, and what the media are not allowed by their masters to reveal, is the false flag model used to engineer these excuses for extending American dominance. The film mentions that Vietnam was one such operation. 9/11 was another. Until we have the courage to realise what is going on here and spell it out loud and clear we will continue down this path to destruction. Why can we not see what is staring us in the face? How long must we wait for the people to wake up? Soon it will be too late, and we will all wonder why we didn't have the balls to do anything. Too busy watching documentaries about war.
