The totalitarian tiptoe continues (look it up)

The arrest of Damian Green is a significant step along the road to a police state, a phrase which a larger number of people are now employing to describe the behaviour of the Labour regime, headed by that great leaker of the nineties era, Gordon Brown. There is a rather rapid scramble now to cover tracks, and it will be interesting tomorrow to see both the speaker's explanation for allowing police to raid the Parliament offices of said MP, and the government's response. The fact that Green's 15 year old daughter arrived home from school to find her house full of Anti terrorist police will likely be quietly forgotten. 'What were they thinking?', you might ask. What possible explanation is there for this, short of a deliberate message not to make public anything which exposes government misdeeds? The misuse of terror laws predicted by many and denied at the time of inception has started in earnest. It may not be long before it becomes accepted as normal, unless the people start waking up and making their voice felt, if they can drag themselves away from football or Strictly for long enough.
